Hello its your Girl JA Nursing here, on Wednesday August 5th, 2015 -- African Entertainment Inc., parent company of the 2015 African Entertainment Awards announces the official nominees for this year's African Entertainment Awards. The nominees are made up of a diverse group of African entertainers exemplify talent and remarkable contributions to their craft.

The Best International Female Artist, Best International Male Artist and Best International New Act categories boast some of the world's very best in African music and entertainment. Some of our highlighted categories include: Best New Artist of the Year, Best Male Artist, Best Female Artist, Best Event of the Year, Best Breakout Artist of the Year and Best Media.

This years honorees include: Toronto Raptors General Manager Masai Ujiri with the Grange Real Estate Award of Excellence, Congolese musician Awilo Longomba with the Lifetime Achievement Award and President/CEO Fitzroy Gordon to receive the Equi Foundation Community Champion award.

The general public can now vote for their favorite African entertainer in any of the 30 categories, which include five official nominees. We encourage fans, supporters, family, friends and industry professionals to make their vote count today and during the month of August by visiting www.aeawards.ca to cast your votes!

The nomination process has changed from its previous years. A selection panel was added this year to ensure quality, consistency and a fair playing field. The panel is made up of industry professionals with a wide range of experience and varied backgrounds. These professionals are:

The African Entertainment Awards, also known as AEA is as an annual award show that recognizes individuals who have positively impacted the African Canadian entertainment industry. It is also aimed at showcasing rich African-Canadian culture, arts and entertainment

Not only will I be celebrating my birthday at the AEA Awards. The excitement regarding this year's awards ceremony will be hosted by one of Nollywood’s top actors, John Dumelo and female International recording artist Emma Nyra. Operating under the new 2015 theme "Re-Branding Africa Through Entertainment, The awards ceremony promises to leave a lasting impression and big changes from its previous year, including better quality
visuals, from the production to the Red Carpet experience. An increase in local and international celebrities, special guests and personalities are all in order from the African Entertainment Industry.

This luxurious event features a red carpet gala reception, live entertainment, comedy and an awards ceremony graced by elite guests, celebrities, performing artists and business professionals
